CareWallet
CareWallet aims to strengthen the patient-provider relationship and increase efficiency in the healthcare industry. The desktop app shows patients' comprehensive medical history to give the doctor a holistic view when addressing symptoms and potential treatment plans. CareWallet also provides a digital referral feature to decrease the time and friction for patients to get the specialized care they deserve.
CareWallet came to Scout, Northeastern's student-led creative collective, looking for a brand identity, visual design system, and high-fidelity app prototype that embody CareWallet’s unconventional and conversational approach. They also wanted the final product to effectively communicate key information and functionality to the user to facilitate a seamless onboarding experience. The whole team worked on the brand identity and design system and then Cami Osario and I worked on the desktop app.

Process
Initial Moodboards
With CareWallet's unconventional and approachable personality in mind, we designed 2 distinct visual directions for the client to choose from. The earth tone and nature-inspired color palette was grounded in psychology to ease stress and took inspiration from apps in the wellness industry. The colorful pastel color palette took a more nontraditional approach to give users something to differentiate CareWallet from its competitors.
User Persona
After discussing the target demographic with the client, the team created a persona for a potential CareWallet user. From this process, we incorporated common decision-making patterns and frustrations among healthcare providers in the desktop app to create a tailored and seamless user experience.
